#059: God's Antidote To Worry
Church Requel made the most of Memorial Day this past Monday with a flag dedication and a downtown parade that started at our own front door! Listen to the "talk before the talk" as well as the talk about the "talk before the talk." What are we talking about? Listen to the podcast! We also include Sunday's sermon, "God's Antidote To Worry," part 1 of the Summer Stressbusters sermon series.
Here's the link to the WebMD article about the physical effects of worrying.
Music for this week's podcast is "Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin.

#058: Godficiency
This week I talk about the big wedding day last Saturday, followed by another big day Sunday. My brother, Todd, filled the CR pulpit for me Sunday and preached a great message, "Godficiency." Much of the discussion in the first half of the podcast comes from some great dialog between Todd and me and then between Steve and me. This is one of those podcasts I think you'll want to listen to multiple times. At least I will.
Music for this week's podcast - predictably - is "Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman. This is the music that Jessica and I danced to for our Father-Daughter dance on Saturday.

#057: Wedding Week
We are in high wedding mode this week at the Pierce household. I invite my daughters Jessica and Jennifer to share a little bit about this week's plans. Also, we added two new people to our leadership team at Church Requel this week. I talk about that decision. Finally, we include last week's Mother's Day sermon, "6 Characterstics of a Mother's Faith."
Music for this week's podcast is "Get Me To The Church On Time" by Nat King Cole.

#056: This Is The Day
This is the only day we have so let's celebrate today. We can't change our yesterdays. We have no guarantee of tomorrow. Join me for this very special podcast as I remember my friend Michael, who died suddenly last month. In this talk we learn how to make the most of each and every day. At the beginning of the podcast, I bring you up to speed with all the great things happening at Church Requel.
Music for this week's podcast is "Today Is The Day" by Lincoln Brewster.

#055: Bicycle Morning
This week's podcast includes some personal updates. I'm planning on biking around town a lot more and am training for GOBA. The half marathon is coming up this Saturday. Will I be ready? I talk a bit about Jessica's wedding plans - coming up soon on May 18th! I read the lyrics of the Cinderella song and fight getting choked up. We hope to add at least one new leader to our team, maybe two. What do we look for in a leader? I talk about the 3 C's. Yesterday was a planning day for me, so I let you in on our sermon plans for the next 3 months. Finally, we play back last weekend's last Toxic sermon: "Toxic Religion."
