#061: God's Antidote To Damaged Emotions

EmotionsPodcast

Do you sometimes struggle with guilt, grief, or grudges? Sure you do! You wouldn't be human if you didn't. We all have damaged emotions. Fortunately God wants to "restore my soul." In this sermon we'll talk about how to let God remove my guilt, relieve my grief, and replace my grudges. We'll also get caught up with the most recent leadership decisions at Church Requel!

Music for this week's podcast is "Counting On God" by Desperation Band.

Jesus Is Making The Case For Me

Here is this week's Church Requel podcast.  For those of you who only want to hear the sermon, skip forward to the 13 minute 40 second mark.  If you play the whole thing, you'll hear a description of the tearful entry of a new CR parishioner into our lobby - someone we've been praying a great deal for lately.  You'll also hear the Children's Sermon, "Dirty Windows."

Finally you'll hear the main talk of the evening, "Jesus Is Making The Case For Me." Guilt can actually be a good thing if it leads to confession and repentance. But what if you still feel guilty after God forgives you? This is false guilt, which can lead to anxiety, stress, depression, and feelings of unworthiness. Join me as we study Romans 8:34 and learn how to handle false G.U.I.L.T. Interspersed throughout you'll hear my honest reflections about another great evening at Church Requel last night. Enjoy!
